What is Neem oil?
Neem
oil is a byproduct of neem obtained
after extracting process. Neem oil is extracted
in such a way that the essential constituent
of azadirachtin is preserved within the
oil.
What are all the methods of extraction
of Neem oil?
Neem oil is extracted using three methods
namely Mechanical pressing, Steam pressure
extraction and Solvent extraction. In recent
times, Neem oil is also extracted using
a method called Cold pressing where neem
oil is obtained in its purest form than
neem oil extracted from all the above process.
What are all the major applications
of Neem oil?
Neem oil is widely used as an Ayurvedic
medicine for the treatment of various diseases
like cancer, diabetes, acne, psoriasis,
malaria, etc. Beyond that Neem oil extends
its area of application as a valuable bio-pesticide
and insecticide as well in the farms.
Is Neem oil effective in controlling
pests?
Neem oil with the vital pest resisting constituent
of azadirachtin is found to be effective
in controlling around 300 major varieties
of pests in farms after intense research.
Farmers in US are advised by the EPA (Environment
Protection Agency) to adopt the usage of
Neem oil as the pesticide in their farms.
Why pests are resisted by Neem oil?
Neem oil is supposed to contain azadirachtin
which is considered as an anti-pest constituent.
The main reason for neem oil to resist the
pests is because of its heavy odour which
makes the pests to avoid feeding the plants.

Firstly, Neem oil prevents the invasion
of pests into the farms if it is applied
in prior. Neem oil registered by EPA can
control pests' varieties like worms, bugs,
beetles, aphids, moths, flies, rats and
other borrowing mammals with efficiency.

of the plants?
Neem oil is an organic product, and it is
completely eco-friendly as it is obtained
from natural resource with no additives
added to it thereby ensuring nil side effects
in the crops or plants. Note: Neem oil registered
by EPA is recommended for use.

in the market?
Neem oil is also manufactured in the form
of cake and as a spray for pest controlling
purpose in farms. These neem oil products
are made cost effective, especially for
the farmers.
How much Neem oil is required for farms?
Depending upon the size of the farm Neem
oil quantity requirement differs. Normally,
a farmer with few hectares of cultivated
field requires just a gallon of neem oil
for one whole year for pest treatment.
