Homemade Spa treatment recipes:

Spa deals with body massage, facials, manicure and various other body treatments in an aesthetic and serene environment. It is sometimes said to be an extension of a hair salon. Spas are generally offered in holiday or beach resorts as a part of their service to the customers. Spa is later carried out in hotels, drive inns and even in hair dressing parlors. In some cases Spas are used as a medication or therapy for certain ailments like back or spinal problem, acne, athlete foot, etc. It has an added benefit of meditation, which can insist peace in mind during medication.


Spa treatments are said to be done using special recipes involving costlier fragrance to show of its elite ness as Spas are often preferred by royals. However, it does not mean that spa can be done only with the recipes that are expensive; it can be even adopted with a simple recipe made at home using some typical home products. Just like household herbal beauty treatment, Spa can also be done using Ayurvedic constituents like neem oil, eucalyptus, rosewater, garlic oil, etc.


Body care is very vital for all human beings to say fit and healthy, thus spa can be made as a routine practice everyday after physical exercise. Try the following spa recipes and feel the result.


To improve the blood circulation in the face and help the tone lacking muscles a facial spa recipe is made using chickpea flour, turmeric, coriander leaves, rosewater, orange juice and ground mustard. Take a bowl; add a cup of chickpea flour, half a spoon of turmeric powder, pinches of coriander leaves; a cup of orange juice and neem oil, some quantity of ground mustard and few tablespoons of rose water for fragrance. Stir the mixture to blend it well. Apply the paste over all over the face and body parts and left for few hours. Later wash the paste using warm water.


Medicinal plaster in spa is a facial mask applied over the face which absorbs the impurities and makes the face look clean and bright. The ingredients required for preparing this medicinal recipe are few tablespoons of sandalwood powder, natural clay powder, turmeric powder, neem leaf oil and half a cup of orange juice if want some rosewater or crushed mint leaves for fragrance. Add these ingredients in a large dish mix it well and apply throughout the face leaving the eye portion. Rinse the mask 15 to 20 minutes after its application using warm water. Aloe Vera gel will be a perfect skin moisturizer after the treatment as it can refresh and provide soothing sensation to the skin.


Hair mask is another spa recipe that helps in improving the strength of the hair. The recipe needs half a cup of yoghurt and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Beat the yoghurt with lemon juice well. Before applying the mask finely cleanse and oil the hair thoroughly rubbing the scalp. The mask is left for about 20 minutes and later swabbed by warm water along with fragrant shampoo to eliminate the raw flesh smell of yoghurt.


Hand and feet needs to be softened for ladies, especially. For that, first clean the hands and feet by wiping with a towel. Then, soak the feet and hands in the tub of hot water instilled with some drops of rosewater, sandalwood, neem and jasmine oil. A pumice stone is rubbed on the rough parts of the feet and hands. Moisturize the hands and feet after that by using a solution prepared from a mixture of neem oil and coconut oil. Finally cleansing is done in warm water with a little bit of lemon juice.
