Demand of agriculture has been raised in
recent times due to rapid increase of population
as well as the drop in the average cultivable
land required for farming. The agricultural
lands are highly invaded by the urban developments
like industries and commercial housings.
Therefore, it is essential for the farmers
to meet the demand by adopting positive
high yielding cultivation methods within
their available fertile lands. In spite
of all these issues 'Pests'
is a factor that retards the yield of a
farmer. In another vital aspect of viewing
the role of pests as the antagonist on the
demand required, makes us to find a solution
to treat them either by synthetic methods
or using organic products. Synthetic way
of controlling pests even though observed
effective it hinders the fertility of the
soil and plants by its side effects. Consequently,
the organic kind of treatment has been the
alternative choice for productive results.
Organic
products can not only be used as pesticides,
but can also serve as fertilizer for plant's
growth.
Since plants require necessary nutrients
like Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium
for their photosynthesis process the soil
should have the capability of providing
the essentials in abundant. In many cases,
the soil fails to support the growth because
of the presence certain Nitrifying Bacteria
such as Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter, which
are responsible for the rapid release of
nitrogen from the fertilizer Urea without
preserving in the soil. Thus intense researches
were made and the results verified few constituents
of Neem
oil such as Epinimbin, Deacetylnimbin and
Salannin can inhibit the nitrogen loss caused
by the bacteria thereby ensures the slow
release of nitrogen from the fertilizer.
As Urea contains around 46% of Nitrogen
content in it, which is believed to be the
larger artificial source of nitrogen, and
it becomes essential as a supplement for
the plants. Moreover, the use of neem oil
also becomes indispensable to avoid the
loss nitrogen. All these aspects lead to
the combined application of urea with coating
of vital neem constituents needed for the
slow denitrification. Neem oil coated Urea
serves as the organic fertilizer that helps
to instill fertile yield from the farms.
Due to the presence of neem oil the fertilizer
gives an added advantage of controlling
vast type of pests responsible of crop deterioration.
The manufacture of this fertilizer has been
in a rise recently supporting the farmers
to produce yield as rich as possible. Neem
oil either as an independent product
or with any combination
always proves positive in the business of
agriculture.
