Application of Neem oil for controlling House Dust Mites:

There are about 48,200 species of Mites that are generally observed in the farms and gardens in large population. They stick onto the plants and animals as parasites which mean they directly depend on the living organism for their food. During their feeding process, they are likely to spread certain vulnerable diseases in the hosts thus which make them to consider as serious pests.

Some of the plant mites include spider mites, gall mites and thread footed mites. Sarcoptic mange mites and Demodectic mange mites are those known as animal mites. Adding, to the contrary, they are also found in the habitat of humans. The mite that is responsible for spreading infection in the human environment will be Dust mites.

Dust mites causes a series of allergic ailments and sometimes oversensitive reactions in humans are experienced due to these microscopic mites. Dust mites are minute, which makes quite difficult to identify them through naked eyes. With this factor, their presence is underestimated in the living space of humans, and that serves as the initiation of allergic infections.

House is a place which got the favorable conditions for the mites to expand because mites require warm and humid surrounding to survive. Generally Dust mites are present in Bed rooms, especially over the Bed mattress where the warm temperature is sensed. A sequence of changes in the body condition is experienced on exposure to such mites. The substituent called Histamine is produced by the human antibodies when the allergen protein content excreted by the dust mites is inhaled into the respiratory tract. This histamine swells the tract and causes asthmatic reflux in the body. The swelling of breathing passage is a common symptom for various respiratory ailments.

All these health disturbing mites is very challenging in terms of eradication. Even though proper and regular cleaning of mites prone areas are done, the mites invaded some way or the other through various media. Consequently, they require an effective controller to keep them away from their breeding places. Organic type of controlling mites has been successful in past years and thus application of organic product like Neem oil can be the best to control as well as repel the dust mites.

Spray of neem oil is used over the bed mattress or the bed covers are washed in water added with few ml of neem oil, liquid detergent and fragrant oil. By doing it so on a regular basis, the existing mites gets washed off and further invasion of mites is entirely stopped. Spraying is also done all around the bedroom area, particularly in the corners and edges of the room where the mites are supposed to breed. Note: Direct spray of Neem oil with higher concentration or improper dilution can cause stains over the mattress. Seek advice from any individual who has experience in doing this before proceeding with Neem oil spray.
