During spring season the nuisance of insects due to blooming of flowers will occur in every garden. Insects usually attracted towards flowers for dew and the sucking of plant nutrient directly through flowers. Since spring is the season of flowering then most of the insect groups are likely to These flowering plants are otherwise called as Ornamental plants in the sense that these plants are grown for their external beauty of flowers. Backyard gardens adopt growing such ornamental plants to add pleasant appearance to the property, but they end up fighting the foreign insects which are invited by those ornamental flowers.
All gardeners are not a botanist or an entomologist, and thus they need to learn the art of gardening to maintain a healthy green environment around their house, especially during spring. They not only need to learn gardening but also the effective equipments and products required for gardening. Gardeners have to be choosy in selecting the best insecticide product available in the market for controlling insects because it will be hard to deter the insect population during the flowering season. Some of the worst insects that exhibit infestation in spring will be aphids, Florida wax scale and Jadera bugs. These vicious insects are top prioritized in the checklist of insects that are to be monitored in spring as their attacks are devastative.
Peeking into their characters, Aphids huddle together and find a prominent place under the leaves of the plants and from there they suck the sap juice of the plant and produce special dew that initiates the growth of sooty mold, a plant fungus responsible for darkening of leaves. Florida wax scale, a scale insect generally found in ornamental plants also produces a type of dew, which too invites the sooty fungus to grow over the plant, whereas, Jadera Bugs does not affect any plant but feeds on the grains as well as seeds in the garden and are likely to enter the living space in groups. Further when these bugs are squashed inside the room it can cause stains that make the space pathetic.
All these insects require an effective repellent which is organic in order to keep the surrounding safe from side effects on application. Such an efficient and frequently used organic repellent will be Neem oil extracted from Neem tree. Cold pressed and EPA registered Plasma neem oil is an excellent organic repellent in that situation. Spraying of Plasma neem oil twice a week can put a bar on the invasion of those insects successfully.
